About the Doctor
My name is Dr. Karl S. Forgeron. On October 5, 1973, I was born
in Chicago, Illinois. In 1976, my parents, Robert and Lieselotte, decided
to move and raise my family in Streamwood, IL. I have three older sisters:
Michelle, Debbie and Karen.
I attended Heritage Elementary, Tefft Middle School and Streamwood
High School. Being a hometown boy, I can relate to many of the children I
see in my private practice today.
In 1990, I was a passenger in a motor vehicle collision.
Unfortunately, I did not know about chiropractic until several years after that
accident. I injured my lower back at work in 1992 and finally made my way
into a chiropractor's office.
Dr. Carl Blackford of Churchill Chiropractic
was the first chiropractor I ever went to. I had such incredible results
and a wonderful experience that I decided to switch my college major and career
goal from dentistry to chiropractic.
After completing undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University
in 1993, I enrolled at the National University of Health Sciences. It was
not easy, but I graduated in December of 1997. I earned the title Doctor
of Chiropractic.
While at NUHS, I took a part time job at
Jenkins Chiropractic in Bartlett,
IL. Thanks to Drs. James and Moira Jenkins, I have a family to come home to
every day. I met my wife, Marcy, while working at their clinic.
Today, we have three children together named Jacob, Jon and Jason.
Marcy and I started Streamwood Family Chiropractic in April, 1998. We
are fortunately blessed that we are able to help and serve the Streamwood
community.
I love God. I love my family, friends, colleagues and associates.
I love my job. I love my life. That is my story and I am sticking to
it.
In my spare time I enjoy writing poetry, playing guitar, singing and
songwriting. I love escaping through poetry and music. Check out my
